​I grew up in Romania, where I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my grandmother. She taught me the magic of using fresh, local ingredients to whip up meals that are not only delicious but also good for you. That lesson has stuck with me as I’ve traveled and discovered new culinary traditions around the world.

But cooking is just one slice of my life! I believe that true happiness comes from savoring life’s little joys. Whether it’s cozying up with my DIY home projects, my passion for knitting, or tending to my garden, I find joy in all these wonderful moments.

My Story: The Road So Far
Living in different countries has given me a unique view of food cultures. Every place has its own culinary traditions, and exploring them has allowed me to connect deeply with people and their stories.

Twelve years ago, I launched this website while living in sunny San Diego, California. Moving with my family from Montreal, Canada, to California gave me a fresh start. After years in the corporate world with little time for family and hobbies, I decided to follow my passion for the art of cuisine and healthy eating and share it with others.

Moving from Montreal to California was like a breath of fresh air for me. After spending years in the corporate world with hardly any time for family or hobbies, I decided to dive into my passion for cooking and healthy eating and share that joy with others.​​​

After wonderful years in California, life took me and my family on another adventure - this time to Germany - Hamburg. Immersing myself in the heart of Europe, I experienced a deep appreciation for the warmth of home-cooked meals, the charm of local bakeries, and the communal spirit of shared dining.
From rustic countryside dishes to refined culinary techniques, Germany introduced me to a beautiful blend of comfort and craftsmanship in food.

Later, a new chapter unfolded as we moved to the UK, where food became a gateway to its rich cultural diversity. From cozy cafés serving traditional afternoon tea to lively markets brimming with global flavors, every meal told a story of history and innovation.
Exploring this dynamic food scene deepened my understanding of how cuisine brings people together, turning even the simplest dishes into shared experiences and lasting memories.

When I’m in the kitchen, I feel a deep connection to my mom and grandmother, whose love for food and family shaped my passion.
