Lemon Mojitos
The mojito is a simple mixed drink of rum, mint, lemon, sugar, and club soda. This cocktail is one of the world’s popular cocktails.
This recipe is sized for one serving, but you can adjust the amount accordingly and make a pitcher full. It's a very refreshing drink for hot summer days. However, make sure to drink it in moderation.
About the ingredients
White Rum is required for mojitos. Spiced rums will take away from the freshness of the mint and lime.
For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed limes. When shopping for limes, look for fruits with smooth skin, as this indicates the fruit is full of juice.
Club soda is traditionally added to mojitos as a way to lighten up the drink and balance out the other ingredients. You can, however, replace it with a can of sparkling water. It will give the cocktail the same bubble-like taste and texture.
